Want to know how to watch Chinese TV in the USA, Australia, UK, or Canada? Chinese streaming channels are restricted outside of China, but you can use tools like Malus to access them online. Whether you’re a traveler, a Chinese ex-pat, or just a fan of Chinese content, there’s much to discover.

With Malus, you can get a new IP address that makes it look like you’re in China and enjoy your favorite content from the USA, Australia, UK, and Canada. Check out our quick guide for more details.

When I left for work abroad, I was annoyed to find out I couldn’t watch my favorite shows or keep up with local news. I tried various methods to bypass the geo-blocks, but Malus was the best solution for watching Chinese TV. By activating the tool, I got a Chinese IP address and gained access to channels like CCTV, BTV, and iQiyi.

After testing different methods, I found Malus to be the best for streaming Chinese content. Its fast servers make streaming easy!

How to watch Chinese TV outside of China?

  • Step 1: Visit Malus’s website (https://getmalus.com/). Sign up for a Malus account.
  • Step 2: Download the app for iOS, Android, or Chrome extensions.
  • Step 3: Open the apps and Click to start.
  • Step 4: Visit the Chinese TV websites and platforms and now you will find they’re all accessible!

Now you can enjoy Chinese TV! Go to your favorite channel’s website or app and stream anything you like.

Why you can’t access Chinese TV outside of China?

It is because Chinese content is often restricted to viewers within China, making it difficult to watch from other countries. However, the tool Malus can solve this problem by hiding your IP address and connecting you to a private server in China.

By doing so, you’ll be assigned a Chinese IP address, making it appear as though you’re accessing the web from within China. This allows you to break through regional restrictions and accelerate streaming, watch videos, listen to music, and visit Chinese websites, the best choice for 500K customers. Support mobile, pad, desktop, and tv platforms, highly recommended by our customers.

Why use Malus?

In my opinion, Malus offers fast and seamless downloads and online gaming, ensuring I won’t have to deal with network lag and delays. Whether it’s music, videos, or games, I can indulge myself without interruption. Plus, regardless of my location, I can count on Malus for a speedy and reliable internet connection.

When I was abroad, I often played national server games from overseas, which was frustrating due to high latency and frequent disconnections. However, with the Malus accelerator, I could easily return to China with just one click and enjoy a faster and more stable gaming experience on the national server.

This accelerator supports various platforms like Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS and is perfect for accelerating games like King of Glory, Peace Elite, LOL League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Genshin Impact, Eternal Calamity, Jianwang 3, CS: GO, Final Fantasy 14, and others.

In addition to gaming, I could also use software like YY Voice, OBS, Live Ji, QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Bilibili, iQiyi, Youku, and more.

Popular video platforms in China

Bilibili

Websitehttps://www.bilibili.com/
LaunchedJune 2009
Created byXu Yi
Headquarters locationShanghai, China

Nowadays, Bilibili is certainly the Chinese version of Youtube in my opinion. This is a video website that is truly impressing me, not only because the user engagement is super well, but also because there are ZERO ads during the video watching, there are literally ZERO ads. Even on YouTube, you sometimes have to suffer some tedious ads for a few seconds, but in Bilibili, you don’t.

YouKu

Websitehttps://www.youku.com/
Launched21 December 2003
FounderVictor Koo
HeadquartersBeijing, China; Shanghai, China;

I think YouKu once was the closest one to becoming the Chinese version of Youtube. From its name, we can tell that YouKu was initially targeting to become a video platform like Youtube and I have to admit that YOUKU once was so close to it.

However, as more and more big companies start to get involved in the video platform market, the dominant status of YOUKU was greatly challenged, from the top one to nowadays around the third to fourth position.

Tencent Video

Websitehttps://v.qq.com/
LaunchedApril 2011
Owned byTencent
ProductsStreaming media

I know when talking about Tencent Video, it will remind you of Netflix, not Youtube. But you know what, Tencent Video has also been putting lots of resources into developing and looking for talented content creators. Except for those contents generated and brought by Tencent, there are also many different personal channels you can follow.

iQIYI

Type:For movie
Supported devices:iOS, Android, Windows
App store:Apple App Store, Google Play Store
APK:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iqiyi.i18n
Website:https://www.iq.com/
If it’s baned in India:Unknown

Owned by China tech giant Baidu, iQIYI is the largest Chinese streaming platform in China and possesses rich copyrighted content including movies from all around the world. You probably can consider iQIYI the Chinese Netflix, or Hulu, equivalent because you not only can find numerous movie content there but also the original movies produced by iQIYI itself.
