Guangdong is the provincial administrative region of the people’s Republic of China, and the provincial capital Guangzhou. Because the ancient place name in the east of Guangxin, it is named “Guangdong”.

It is located in the south of Nanling Mountain and on the coast of the South China Sea. It borders Hong Kong, Macao, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Fujian and faces Hainan across the sea. It has jurisdiction over 21 prefecture-level cities, 65 municipal districts, 20 county-level cities, 34 counties, and 3 autonomous counties. The permanent resident population of Guangdong Province is 126,012,510.

Guangdong is an important heritage of Lingnan culture. It has a unique style in language, customs, living habits, history, and culture. Guangdong is also one of the provinces with a large population in China.

Guangdong province belongs to the East Asian monsoon region. From north to south, it has central subtropical, south subtropical, and tropical climates respectively. It is an area rich in light, heat, and water resources in China and one of the birthplaces of agricultural civilization.

Guangdong is the South Gate of China and is located in the shipping hub of the South China Sea. As early as 3000 years ago, a trade circle linked by ceramics has been formed, and its influence has been extended to coastal and overseas islands through waterways.

In the Qing Dynasty, Guangzhou became the only foreign trade port in China. After the reform and opening up, Guangdong has become the forefront of reform and opening up and a window for the introduction of western economy, culture, science, and technology.

Since 1989, Guangdong’s GDP has continuously ranked first in the country, becoming China’s largest economic province. Its total economic output accounts for 1 / 8 of the country and has reached the level of middle and upper-income countries and medium-developed countries.

The comprehensive competitiveness of Guangdong’s regional economy ranks first in China. The 9 cities in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong will join hands with Hong Kong and Macao to build the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and become one of the four Bay areas in the world side by side with the bay area of New York, the bay area of San Francisco and the Bay Area of Tokyo.
